As a leader at Inflection, how do you inspire innovation and productivity on your team?
I inspire innovation and productivity by understanding the personal and professional motivations of my teammates. We align those motivations with opportunities to work toward our team goals. We’ve created a forum for each teammate to advocate for innovative ideas they’ve identified to create a meaningful impact on our customers and the business. We’ve also cultivated a team environment that invites playfulness and fun!

Inflection’s culture has supported my personal and professional success by cultivating the conditions for me to prioritize my well-being and create value beyond the scope of my role. In creating these conditions, Inflection empowers me to catalyze my personal and professional success based on a level of proactivity.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Alignment on expectations is fundamental to mitigating the risk of disappointment. Coordinate with your manager on professional development goals from the start. If you are hoping for a promotion, communicate your career aspiration to your manager and ask for your manager’s help identifying any gaps. If there are gaps identified, create a professional development roadmap to get you where you want to be.
How do you promote professional development with your team members?
My current teammates are exceptionally high-performing and generally wonderful, so I get the joy of being an advocate, professional development guide, and friend. I start by setting the tone for candid communication and establish the role of advocate from the beginning. I explore my teammates’ personal and professional motivations to understand where they are coming from. I help my teammates identify their development goals, how they would like to approach these goals, and how they would like me to support them.
