Quality Assurance Associate

Responsibilities:
- Execute the test plans and generate accurate defect descriptions during the release cycles. Assist engineering with debugging and verify fixes before the release.
- Act as the onsite eyes for the Engineering and Product Team with our Member Services group. Take feedback from the users and validate, initiate fixes and instigate enhancements to keep making things better.
- Strive to balance the tasks of maintaining efficient test path coverage with providing concise, timely and helpful statuses to your team.
- Conduct cross browser testing. Keep up to date on the browser versions and plug-ins.
- Work closely with internal groups such as Product Management, Customer Service, Software Engineering and Systems/Operations to improve the overall offering as well as help resolve critical issues.
- Travel some and bridge the needs of our users as they come from Member Services in Omaha, NE with the Engineering and QA efforts that go on in Redwood Shores, CA.
You know your stuff:
- Bachelor's degree required (preferably in an Engineering discipline).
- 2+ years in Quality Assurance working within software industry.
- Knowledge of QA testing methodologies with experience in software development.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and interacting with product development, marketing and support roles to deliver quality product on schedule.
- Experience with User Acceptance testing or User Interaction audits.
- Excellent Communication Skills (verbal and written): ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical coworkers and customers.
- Entrepreneurial attitude, takes initiative and invites responsibility; comfortable in an unstructured, fast-paced environment.
