Senior Content Acquisition Specialist

Inflection's Director of Content Development is looking for a key direct report to manage the important Content Acquisition function at Inflection.  The Content Acquisition team is responsible for deciding what Content Inflection should acquire, digitize, and make available on our websites - particularly on Archives.com - and then partnering with other companies and organizations to acquire that content.  We need a rockstar Senior Content Acquisition Specialist to lead this team and work closely with other internal departments and outsourced vendors to establish Inflection as a leading player in the development of current and historical family history content.

Responsibilities:

• Defining Content Acquisition objectives to increase the quality and quantity of content on Archives.com and other Inflection websites
• Managing, coaching, and expanding our team of content acquisition professionals
• Developing and enhancing tools and processes to make our content acquisitionists, including yourself, more effective
• Negotiating and closing major content partnerships and licenses
• Developing very strong relationships with our most important content partners

Qualifications:

• BA or BS degree. Masters or PHD a plus.
• 8+  years of work experience in or around content acquisition
• 3+ years of management experience leading a team of at least 2-3
• A very clear thinker who is good at prioritizing and is comfortable with quantitative analysis
• An excellent oral and written communicator
• Proactive, self-directed, and able to create and prioritize work for others
• Superior follow-through and follow-up skills
• Entrepreneurial
• Strong understanding of human psychology and how to channel it effectively
• A track record of developing successful win-win partnerships
