Inflection is looking for a hard-working, go-getter to join our Information Technology Team. The Systems Administrator will provide corporate and production system support, as well as desktop support to technical and non-technical staff. We want someone with a “do-what-it-takes” attitude, who is both creative and efficient in finding solutions to everyday problems. You must be able to work independently, pick things up quickly, and use your expertise to ensure everyone stays up and running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for all day-to-day systems and desktop support.
  • Systems administration in a multi-platform environment
  • Networking support with multiple WAN providers, Firewall and VPN support
  • Server and Workstation patching using an enterprise patch management technology
  • Monitoring - Zabbix / Nagios . New Relic, Appdynamics, Windows Performance monitor
  • Assist our Sr. Systems Administrator with network services such as Active Directory, DNS, CIFS, NFS, tape and disk backups, networking, and hotfixes
  • Administer user accounts and VPN access in our Active Directory environment, two-factor authentication and other Linux and Windows hosted applications
  • Initial setup and ongoing support of Dell workstations, notebooks, and Apple laptops running OSX, Windows 7 and MS Office
  • Administer user accounts and VPN access in our Active Directory environment with Google Apps, Centrify and other cloud based and hosted tools
  • Administer our voice-over-IP (VOIP) user accounts and phones (Aspect Cloud Contact Center - Zipwire Platform)
  • Manage telecom provider’s MPLS/VPN connectivity - Cox & Centurylink
  • Provide first level helpdesk support and troubleshooting for Inflection’s users, opening and maintaining helpdesk tickets, assigning to other IT staff as appropriate
  • Procure and install end-user software, hardware and peripherals
  • Provide support for remote employees and support our remote offices
  • Provide off-hours support and escalation via phone and remote access as required
  • Maintain system, change management, incident response, process and network documentation
  • Provide first level systems support and troubleshooting
  • Monitor both systems and network performance through the use of various monitoring tools (AppDynamics, AWS CloudWatch, Zabbix, New Relic)
  • Create and maintain end-user documentation, FAQs and helpdesk portal self-service resources and websites
  • Participate in 24x7 on call rotation

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years experience in an IT role
  • End user desktop support (Active Directory and/or OpenLDAP) experience
  • 1+ year of Windows systems administration experience
  • Experience with Windows Server and Microsoft Active Directory to include DNS, GPOs
  • Familiarity with cloud application administration (Google Applications, Office 365)
  • Security - Understanding of Firewall and Endpoint protection
  • Understanding of VPN and other remote access technologies
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills with both software and hardware for PC and Mac
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service skills and time management skills
  • Ability to create concise and clear documentation understandable by end-users

Nice to haves…

  • Cloud Contact Center, MPLS, Telephony Experience
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services
  • Experience with utilization a scripting language to automate common functions (Powershell)
  • Familiarity with VMware products including Fusion and Workstation, ESXi
