The Sales & Marketing Operations Manager works with business stakeholders to define requirements, customize the Salesforce.com and Hubspot technical environments to enable and automate business processes, builds and curates reports and dashboards, maintains availability and performance of the systems, activates new features, answers user questions, and more.

As part of the Sales, Marketing and Operations team, the Sales & Marketing Operations Manager advocates for and contributes to the implementation and adoption of Salesforce.com and Hubspot within the organization. These systems will be used to manage inbound and/or outbound lead generation for new product sales to both new and existing customers as well as future sales.

The Sales & Marketing Operations Manager will be charged with…

Strategic Leadership:

  • Implement, administor and oversee key enabling technologies, primarily Salesforce.com and Hubspot
  • Coordinate sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes used within the sales organization, which includes monitoring and striving to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the sales organization’s planning efforts
  • Partner with Sales and Demand Generation on lead management process, development and execution to ensure both strategies and lead definitions between Marketing and Sales are in alignment
  • Proactively identify opportunities for sales process improvement

CRM:

  • Drive, develop and own the frameworks associated with campaigns within SalesForce and ensuring strong integration with Hubspot
  • Ensure marketing leads are being accepted, worked and progressed in SFDC through use of reports, dashboards and regular communication with key campaign and sales owners
  • Monitor the assigned sales organization’s compliance with required standards for maintaining CRM data; and partner closely with Sales and Marketing management to optimize the effectiveness of the firm’s technology investments

Marketing Automation:

  • Serve as Inflection’s marketing automation (Hubspot) platform owner, implementing required programs and frameworks
  • Own the integration points/plans/maintenance for systems that have data feeds/integration with Hubspot (these include but are not limited to: SFDC, Calendly, Datanyze, etc.)
  • Build, test and evolve our lead scoring solution, considering requirements within both Marketo and SFDC

Systems & Reporting:

  • Package and deploy software changes to all environments (development, testing, and production)
  • Create and manage Hubspot and Salesforce pages, fields, business rules (validations and workflow), sync rules and more in support of business requirements
  • Perform analysis, administration, troubleshooting, testing, software, and data environment refreshes as needed
  • Lead initiatives for custom development and integration, from requirements gathering to implementation
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing management to inspect sales process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement: assist Sales/Marketing management in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies, then facilitate continuous process improvement
  • Coordinate training delivery to sales, sales management, and sales support personnel in the sales organization
  • Ensure that all lead generation campaigns have a projected and trackable ROI before launch and measure the results against the estimate
  • Coordinate with Sales Analyst to define and produce ongoing insights and reports for both Sales and Marketing teams

The Sales & Marketing Operations Manager possesses…

  • 3+ years of configuration and administration experience with Salesforce.com
  • Salesforce.com expertise - ideally a Salesforce Certified Administrator or Salesforce Certified Developer who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic collaborative environment
  • Strong technical knowledge and deep understanding of various CRM and marketing automation systems, principles and processes, ideally Salesforce.com and Hubspot, which are the systems we use
  • Pipeline management experience and closed loop reporting for lead management
  • Agile Scrum experience preferred
  • HubSpot experience, especially in systems setup and sync with Salesforce preferred
  • Familiarity with Change and Release Management processes
  • Service- and team-oriented attitude and customer focus, plus a determination to continually improve our systems and approach to drive positive business outcomes
  • Clear and effective written, verbal, and listening skills
  • Project management skills a plus
